Well, it has been several months since I updated this post and so many things have happened. Yes, the 501c3 is still up and running, so all contributions to Stillwaters Foundation are tax deductible and will remain so. Stillwaters Foundation continues to fund healing work through music in the form of drum circles, recording for Songs of Love, and others. The big news is that there will be no Positive Music and Arts Festival this year. Many issues contributed to this decision which was difficult to make but it is the right one.
That said, the monthly Supper and Song concert series, on selected Saturday evenings, is going great. I am blown away by the wonderful professional performers that grace the stage here as house concerts in the winter and lawn concerts in the summer. With the recent weather, I’m not sure which week will be winter and which summer but we are moving outside for the April concert. Each of these concerts in a community building event starting with a potluck dinner at 6:00 and open mic at 7:00. Guests always bring great food and entertain each other with such a variety of acts. Then, the guest artist takes the stage at 8:00. The festival drew 100 to 200 guests but we are trying to keep the Supper and Songs to under 50 for county code restrictions but what happens, happens. Because of this, we appreciate reservations. However no one is ever turned away as long as they break bread with us and share peace through music. Well behaved dogs on leash are always welcome to the lawn events. The schedule for Supper and Song is on the events page with other events also listed.
The studio is also in full production with a waiting list for recording. Here, too, we try to keep the numbers small as each client deserves our full attention. Recording should be a fun, relaxed experience and not rushed because the next client is waiting. We try to have only one client a day which keeps our schedule flexible. Call for your recording, and we will work you in as soon as possible. Most clients can start within a couple of weeks. Short projects can be squeezed in almost anytime.
